CAMILLE NEPVEU

 

Active dans le milieu des arts visuels depuis de nombreuses années, Camille Nepveu, en plus de dizaines d'expositions collectives et individuelles, a travaillé à l'élaboration d'événements culturels montréalais comme Nuit Blanche sur tableau noir. Elle a aussi participé à la création de performances artistiques scéniques pour des musiciens au National, au Club Soda et lors d’une des tournées de Lollapallooza.

Au début des années 2000 elle a ouvert, dans Centre-sud, un espace de création et de rencontres multidisciplinaires qu'elle a tenu pendant quelques années.

Camille Nepveu est aussi une écoféministe. Son travail artistique, sous forme d’allégories marines, dénonce l’inaction des gouvernements en matière de protection des océans et sensibilise sur la fragilité de ces écosystèmes.

Active in the visual arts for many years, Camille Nepveu, in addition to dozens of collective and individual exhibitions, has worked on the development of Montreal cultural events such as Nuit Blanche sur tableau noir. She also participated in the creation of scenic artistic performances for musicians at the National, the Club Soda and during one of the Lollapallooza tours.

 

In the early 2000s, she opened, in Centre-sud, a space for creation and multidisciplinary meetings that she held for a few years.

 

Camille Nepveu is also an eco-feminist. Her artistic work, in the form of marine allegories, denounces the inaction of governments in protecting the oceans and raises awareness of the fragility of these ecosystems.
